Mission Trip to Joplin, Missouri
May 29 - June 3, 2011

A group from our church was planning to go with the "Samaritan's Purse" organization to Alabama this month to help with the clean-up from the tornadoes that devistated that state. However, when the tornadoes struck Joplin, Missouri, they called and needed help there. The group left early Sunday morning and has been helping with the clean-up. Brother Brett wrote in an email:
"Here are some pics of what we have been doing in Joplin, MO. We have been working with Samaritan’s Purse and today we got to work cleaning up with some guys who have two big excavators and they have been pulling stumps up out of the ground.
The devastation here is unimaginable, and the trip has been wonderful. Thanks for your prayers."

The founder of Samaritan's Purse, Franklin Graham, was visiting Joplin on Sunday.
Kevin Schueler was fortunate to meet and visit with him. Infact, there was a picture
on the Samaritan's Purse's website of Kevin shaking hands with Mr. Graham. They have updated their website and it is no longer the banner.
