They are currently aiding in the relief efforts in Haiti after the recent devastating earthquake.

"Our status as of today is we are waiting for clearance to fly over the water filters that we packaged for Haiti. As soon as we get the ok, we will move into Active Response."

This is a picture of the water purification system that Texas Baptist Men are trying to sending to Haiti.  5,000 of these water purification systems are waiting for clearence before they can be sent.  Each system costs $30 and TBM has spent $150,000 on faith to send these water systems to Haiti.  Please make a gift to TBM to help the people of Haiti in their desperate hour of need.  You can donate online by clicking on the Donation section or send a check to:

One of our "own" from many years ago is Deniese Magness Dillon, who is the head of Dillon International, an agency that handles international adoptions. Gladys Thomas, the director of Dillon's Programs in Haiti, reports that the Children's Village and Hope Hospital are okay. There has been some flooding, one of the walls of a building has collapsed, and many people are gathering in this location. The Village, (orphanage) has food but the children are frightened. The great need right now is gasoline to run the generators. If you are interested in helping, please click on the link below. They are able to get funds directly to Gladys for immediate use.

 The Manhattan Declaration

We will be wrapping up our county wide effort to lead churches in showing their support with us regarding life, marriage and religious liberty as stated in the Manhattan Declaration (www.manhattandeclaration.org). The info has been distributed to almost thirty churches in Parmer County, and I look forward to seeing how many express their support with us in this matter as we send our support to ten different political leaders, representatives and senators who make decisions that effect you.
